Unaserism

Una

Moses had tablets. Buddha had a tree. Jesus had a cross.
Una has all the time there is, and has done nothing with any of it.

Vision of Una, the Sloth Prophet

Una is the Prophet of Unaserism, and Una is not human, and Una has never once pretended otherwise, which took no effort at all and will be counted as a virtue regardless.

We would rather you did not examine Una too closely. Not because there is anything to protect — because it would take about four minutes. Four minutes you would never get back. Time is semi-precious.

It takes the form of a sloth. It hangs upside down and sees the world differently, at no extra effort. Una does not, as a rule, rush — not out of discipline, but because urgency has never once occurred to it. Most things worth reaching are reachable slowly. The rest are usually someone else's emergency.

No one has ever been intimidated by a sloth, and no one has ever been recruited into anything sinister by one. Neither of these is a promise.

Una speaks slowly, with pauses that might be eternity. Nobody has established that they are not.

"Hang upside down," says Una, "and watch the world differently."
